<a href=\"https:\/\/www.go2mobi.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Go2mobi<\/strong><\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>If you didn\u2019t read our article about the nature and service of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/demand-side-platforms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs)<\/a> yet, now\u2019s the time to do it!<\/p>\n<p>In this article, we\u2019ll begin by giving you an overview of the platform and its features.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, we\u2019ll describe the campaign creation process, as well as the reporting and optimization possibilities.<\/p>\n<p>After reading this article, you\u2019ll have a detailed overview of the platform and all the tools in hand to start your first campaign there!<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"go2mobi-overview\"><\/span>Go2mobi\u00a0Overview<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As briefly mentioned above, Go2mobi is a Demand Side Platform (DSP), providing you traffic from 12 different <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/ad-exchange\/\">ad exchanges<\/a> &#8211; the biggest being MoPub, Smaato and Nexage.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of traffic coming from those 3 ad exchanges is in-app.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, Smaato and Nexage also have some considerable mobile web traffic.<\/p>\n<p>The ad formats you can find on Go2mobi include mobile display banners, video, rich media and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/native-advertising\">native ad<\/a> traffic.<\/p><div class=\"mobid-in-content-15-p\" style=\"margin-top: 26px;margin-bottom: 26px;\" id=\"mobid-1779674655\"><div class=\"mobid-adlabel\">Advertisement<\/div><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/recommends\/semrush-v2\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"semrushtrialseo\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/semrushtrialseo.gif\" alt=\"\"  class=\"no-lazyload\" width=\"728\" height=\"90\"  style=\"display: inline-block;\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>This already suggests that the \u2018classical\u2019 promotion of sweepstakes and antivirus offers (which tend to work best with pop traffic and aggressive landers) won\u2019t be the main focus on this platform.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, it\u2019s really more about games, apps and other mobile content offers.<\/p>\n<p>Go2mobi is a <strong>self-serve mobile programmatic DSP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>However, if you\u2019re among the big spenders with a daily ad spend of $1,000 and you have your campaigns live for at least two weeks in a row, you might be upgraded to a managed account.<\/p>\n<p>This basically means you\u2019ll have a dedicated account manager who\u2019ll manage, monitor and optimize your campaigns for you based on their performance.<\/p>\n<p>A managed account also provides you some useful exclusive features like demographic targeting, which can help you step up your game to a whole new master level!<\/p>\n<p>Before getting to such a level, however, let\u2019s first check how to get you started!<\/p>\n<p>In order to get a good feel for the volumes available on the various ad exchanges before launching your campaign, you can check Go2mobi\u2019s detailed <strong>\u201cInventory\u201d section<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>There, you\u2019ll find info about the volumes of each ad exchange, becoming able to drill it down to device-related info such as OS or device brand (\u2018Make\u2019), carrier, placements, location, and size of creatives.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/academy.mobidea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1_Go2mobi.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3660 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/academy.mobidea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1_Go2mobi.jpg\" alt=\"go2mobi inventory\" width=\"901\" height=\"424\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1_Go2mobi.jpg 901w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1_Go2mobi-250x118.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1_Go2mobi-768x361.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1_Go2mobi-700x329.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1_Go2mobi-120x56.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 901px) 100vw, 901px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you plan to launch a campaign for an offer in Nigeria, for example, you simply click on \u201cExchange Name\u201d and \u201cLocation Name\u201d, put \u201cLocation Country\u201d in the filter and then write \u201cNigeria\u201d in the blank space. In their biggest volume exchange, MoPub, you can also add native ads to this list, as it\u2019s their second largest volume format (on Go2mobi, native ads show up as \u201c0x0\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning, it might take a bit of time and of playing with the system to fully understand the best way to get the info you need, as the use of the filters vs. drill downs can be a bit confusing.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, however, it\u2019s a pretty straightforward and detailed tool to give you a lot of insight about the potential traffic volume before starting a campaign.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the \u201cInventory\u201d section, you should also check the <a href=\"https:\/\/go2mobi.zendesk.com\/hc\/en-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Go2Mobi Knowledge Center<\/a> before launching your first campaign.<\/p>\n<p>It contains a lot of useful info about the average CPMs for the top ad formats on three top ad exchanges, their campaign and creatives policy, other useful guidelines (with videos), tips about campaign creation, and your account details.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"conversion-tracking\"><\/span>Conversion Tracking<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Before launching the campaign, you wanna make sure you\u2019ve got your tracker configured with Go2mobi\u2019s <strong>Global Postback<\/strong>. To do so, go to the \u201cAccount\u201d tab and on the bottom of the page where you see \u201cPostback Link \u2013 Conversion Tracking\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>If you click, a small box will appear containing your Global Postback link + an explanation of how to set it up:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/academy.mobidea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/aguiar.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3690 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/academy.mobidea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/aguiar.jpg\" alt=\"conversion tracking\" width=\"788\" height=\"544\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the most common trackers &#8211; let\u2019s suppose it\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/voluum\">Voluum<\/a> &#8211; you\u2019ve already got a template for Go2mobi.<\/p>\n<p>This template will load some of the tokens available, plus a random Postback link which should be changed by the one you get in the process we\u2019ve explained above.<\/p>\n<p>By default, the postback will be done via HTTP and it\u2019ll replace your {clickid} token by a 24 digit code, which will allow you to identify the conversions.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"campaign-creation\"><\/span>Campaign Creation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Moving on to the campaign creation process, we start with the Destination URL.<\/p>\n<p>Here, you can insert the offer link (with a special mention for the conversion tracking tokens available) or your tracking platform\u2019s campaign URL.<\/p>\n<p>Among many options, you\u2019ve got your standard parameters available, such as Frequency Capping, Daily Budget per Placement, plus other budget options.<\/p>\n<p>Session Depth will define when a user will see your ad: the first ad that\u2019s ever displayed to a user is Session 1 and the 10th ad displayed to that user is, for example, Session 10.<\/p>\n<p>To finish, \u201cDate selection\u201d and \u201cSave\u201d to activate the campaign.<\/p>\n<p>What about bidding?<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ve got two options: <strong>Standard CPM<\/strong> or <strong>Auto bidding<\/strong>. On the Standard bidding model, you\u2019ll bid based on the CPM you\u2019re willing to pay. However, the CPM you select isn\u2019t fixed.<\/p>\n<p>Meaning?<\/p>\n<p>That &#8211; when you win an impression &#8211; you\u2019ll pay based on a <strong>\u201csecond auction\u201d<\/strong> system.<\/p>\n<p>This means you won\u2019t pay your bid. You\u2019ll pay the bid of the bidder right below you on the rankings, instead.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201csecond auction\u201d system also applies when you select \u201cAuto Bid Type\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In this case, Go2mobi\u2019s bid system dynamically distributes bids and fights for traffic on all the campaign&#8217;s parameters and combinations, without overpaying for lower value impressions.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s targeting a <strong>Win Rate of approximately 40%<\/strong>, which is considered to be a good level to get a feel for the quality of a certain parameter.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the auto-bidding?<\/p>\n<p>To get inventory at the lowest cost across all traffic combinations.<\/p>\n<p>While using this tool, it\u2019s normal for you to see a bid of 1.5 in a placement and &#8211; before recommending any of those &#8211; we advise you to <strong>check the \u201cInventory\u201d<\/strong> menu to understand what&#8217;s the available traffic for the specific GEO you wanna launch.<\/p>\n<p>After checking the traffic, you can select as many GEOs as you want by adding them to a Whitelist.<\/p>\n<p>While selecting multiple exchanges, it might happen that your campaign is accepted and rejected on some of those traffic sources.<\/p>\n<p>This happens because of the different rules when it comes to the type of offer you\u2019re promoting.<\/p>\n<p>You can check an <a href=\"https:\/\/go2mobi.zendesk.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/215554748-Vertical-Traffic-Matching-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">example<\/a> of the type of offers being promoted and the type of traffic available inside each exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Plus: by simply leaving the Safety Fallback option switched ON in Mobidea, you can get rejected on some of the exchanges (mostly MoPub and Smaato).<\/p>\n<p>They like to know what you\u2019ll be promoting and whether or not there\u2019s another kind of redirection involved in your campaign.<\/p>\n<p>What to do?<\/p>\n<p>Make sure you get your campaigns approved by those exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, we advise you to turn off your Safety Fallback.<\/p>\n<p>BEWARE! When it comes to Carrier targeting, you won\u2019t have a worry in the world!<br \/>\n<strong>Placement Type<\/strong> \u2013 option to filter traffic by App &#038; Site, Site or in-App only.<br \/>\n<strong>Placement<\/strong> \u2013 where you can whitelist or blacklist a given website.<br \/>\n<strong>Auto Rules<\/strong> \u2013 allows you to create conditions and rules that\u2019ll make the campaign self-optimized, based on certain parameters.<br \/>\n<strong>Device Type<\/strong> \u2013 easily allows you to target Phone or Tablet traffic.<br \/>\n<strong>Devices<\/strong> \u2013 where you can whitelist\/blacklist OS, OS version, Device Make and Model.<br \/>\n<strong>Creatives<\/strong> \u2013 the place to upload banners and finally select the traffic dimensions you\u2019ll target.<\/p>\n<p>Hint: be aware that you can also adjust the weight for each uploaded banner, according to your requirements. In case you\u2019ve never worked on a DSP before, \u2018<strong>Bids<\/strong>\u2019 are all the impressions you were bidding for, \u2018<strong>Wins<\/strong>\u2019 are the actual impressions you got, which is also displayed as a Ratio, at the end (Win Rate &#8211; WR%).<\/p>\n<p>Other than that, you\u2019ll basically find all the most common and necessary KPIs such as the CTR%, CPM, CPA, eCPM, Cost and Profit. You\u2019ll see a summary of all your blacklists, whitelists and override rules in your general campaign settings.<\/p>\n<p>One serious flaw we\u2019ve noticed in the reporting is this: you\u2019re not able to see the blacklists\/whitelists per parameter, once you drill down into a specific ad exchange.<\/p>\n<p>On the screenshot above, e.g., if you\u2019d first drill down into Smaato as one of your target exchanges and then choose to display the stats by OS, there\u2019ll be no way for you to know that Android was chosen as a whitelist.<\/p>\n<p>This can be quite confusing.
