What do you think of Sweepstakes and Facebook?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To me, it\u2019s not worth the risk. Facebook doesn\u2019t like anything remotely aggressive.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019d rather affiliates do Ecommerce or Teespring campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>There are other places that are much easier to run sweepstakes on, and worrying about getting your account banned is something you don\u2019t need (especially for newbies).<\/p>\n<p>If you really wanna run on Facebook I\u2019d recommend verticals like gaming and lead gen.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2-what-are-the-best-traffic-sources-and-ad-formats-for-sweepstakes\"><\/span>2. What are the best traffic sources and ad formats for Sweepstakes?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Most Sweepstake offers are run on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/popunder-ad\/\">Popunder<\/a> traffic sources.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the big mobile traffic sources include <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/propeller-ads-review\">PropellerAds<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/zeropark-review\/\">ZeroPark<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/adcash\/\">AdCash<\/a>, Self Advertiser, etc.<\/p>\n<p>All of those traffic sources have different placements, so start testing!<\/p>\n<p>Make sure you use a landing page.<\/p>\n<p>Sweepstakes will not convert well if you\u2019re direct linking.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3-which-offer-flow-do-you-recommend\"><\/span>3. Which offer flow do you recommend?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The general rule of thumb is that the more details the advertiser asks for, the higher the payout will be.<\/p>\n<p>So if the end users have to enter their credit card details, you\u2019ll get a higher payout than if they just have to insert their first name and email address.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re new to affiliate marketing and you\u2019re on a limited budget, stick with the email submit offers (some networks call them SOI &#8211; Single Opt In offers).<\/p>\n<p>Mobile subscriptions and the credit card submit will take a bit more budget, but those are the offers you should be running when you\u2019re out of the newbie phase and you\u2019ve got some profitable campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to know more about the types of mobile offers, <a href=\"https:\/\/charlesngo.com\/mobilecontentoffers\/?utm_source=mobidea&amp;utm_medium=publication&amp;utm_campaign=website_clicks&amp;utm_content=mobilecontentoffers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here\u2019s a post I wrote<\/a> on mobile.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4-what-do-you-think-about-pre-landers-a-la-quiz-or-roulette\"><\/span>4. What do you think about pre-landers <em>a la<\/em> quiz or roulette?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I see affiliates running the \u201c3 questions\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/affiliate-landing-pages\/\">landing page<\/a> all the time.<\/p>\n<p>That style of landing page still makes money, otherwise nobody would use it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I\u2019ll give you a few tips on how to use these pages:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s say they are running an iPhone Sweepstake.<\/p>\n<p>They will use angles on their landing page like \u201cWin an iPhone 7 &#8211; Special Giveaway\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Their 3 questions might be:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>What&#8217;s your age?<\/li>\n<li>What\u2019s your gender?<\/li>\n<li>How often do you use Facebook?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Those questions suck and they don\u2019t make sense.<\/p>\n<p>Why would a company give away a free iPhone or prize because they got that information from someone?<\/p>\n<p>It doesn\u2019t sound believable.<\/p>\n<p>You need to think about <strong>believable<\/strong> angles.<\/p>\n<p>Some tried and true angles include:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>Beta testing for future iPhone versions.<\/li>\n<li>The person\u2019s cell phone company is doing a survey<\/li>\n<li>Playing a game and winning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Come up with a good <strong>reason<\/strong> why a company would give away a prize, and have your questions support it.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5-can-you-tell-us-your-idea-of-a-perfect-sweepstakes-promotion\"><\/span>5. Can you tell us your idea of a perfect Sweepstakes promotion?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you can piece together all of my tips from this interview, you\u2019ll have something that\u2019s close to what I do when I run these offers.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve got two more major tips that\u2019ll give you insight into how I run these campaigns:<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"first-%e2%80%93-decrease-your-page-load-time\"><\/span>First &#8211; Decrease your page load time<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The internet is pretty slow in a lot of countries.<\/p><div class=\"mobid-in-content-15-p_2-2\" style=\"margin-top: 26px;margin-bottom: 26px;\" id=\"mobid-2737648221\"><div class=\"mobid-adlabel\">Advertisement<\/div><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/recommends\/semrush-v1\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"backlinks\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/PD-970x250-Discover-backlinks-faster-than-ever-1.png\" alt=\"\"  srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/PD-970x250-Discover-backlinks-faster-than-ever-1.png 970w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/PD-970x250-Discover-backlinks-faster-than-ever-1-250x52.png 250w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/PD-970x250-Discover-backlinks-faster-than-ever-1-700x144.png 700w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/PD-970x250-Discover-backlinks-faster-than-ever-1-768x158.png 768w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/PD-970x250-Discover-backlinks-faster-than-ever-1-120x25.png 120w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 970px) 100vw, 970px\" class=\"no-lazyload\" width=\"970\" height=\"200\"  style=\"display: inline-block;\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>Even here in the US there are some places where download speeds are really bad.<\/p>\n<p>Mobile users aren\u2019t gonna wait 5 seconds for your popup to load.<\/p>\n<p>My <a href=\"https:\/\/charlesngo.com\/8-tactics-part-2\/?utm_source=mobidea&amp;utm_medium=publication&amp;utm_campaign=website_clicks&amp;utm_content=pageloadspeed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rule of thumb<\/a> with mobile landing pages is that they HAVE to be under 1 second.<\/p>\n<p>But faster is always better and you can get pages loading way faster if you try.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some action steps you can take to reduce your page load speed.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>Use GTMetrix or PageSpeed from Google to test your page speed before you optimize it<\/li>\n<li>Put all of your code for the landing page into one file<\/li>\n<li>Minify your code<\/li>\n<li>Compress all images with Photoshop or Kraken.io<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t use shared hosting &#8211; use a VPS or a CDN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There\u2019s a ton of info on the web on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/set-up-cdn-hosting-domain\">reducing page load speed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"next-%e2%80%93-redirect-traffic-to-different-offers\"><\/span>Next &#8211; \u00a0Redirect Traffic To Different Offers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a class=\"thirstylink\" title=\"Voluum\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/voluum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Voluum<\/a> gives you the ability to redirect traffic based on rules you set.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the good offers will only accept traffic from certain carriers, but some traffic sources don\u2019t allow you to target by carrier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Another pro tip:<\/strong>\u00a0even though you can segment by carrier on a traffic source, it doesn\u2019t mean that it\u2019s 100% accurate, so you need to account for that.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s say you wanna test 3 sweepstakes offers, here\u2019s what their terms might look like:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>Offer 1 only accepts AT&amp;T<\/li>\n<li>Offer 2 accepts Verizon and T-Mobile<\/li>\n<li>Offer 3 accepts all traffic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You would set up rules on Voluum to split the traffic to the different carriers. Having offer 3 in there means that none of your traffic is wasted as there\u2019s a backup offer.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"6-whats-the-ideal-sweepstakes-offer-launch\"><\/span>6. What&#8217;s the ideal Sweepstakes Offer launch?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>For me it\u2019s going to be a lot different than for a newbie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ad format:<\/strong> 95% of the time I\u2019d run it on mobile pop, so no ads, just a landing page.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Traffic source:<\/strong>\u00a0any of the big ones like Propeller, Popads, Zeropark, etc. They all have good placements hidden among the bad ones.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GEO:<\/strong> I\u2019d split test at least 5 different GEOs. I\u2019d get the pages translated by OneHourTranslation.com, then launch in those 5 countries. The one I go with will be the one I make the most money from during a test.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flow:<\/strong> PIN Submits will pay out a lot more, but they are harder to convert (because they ask for more details). Single Opt In (SOI) or Double Opt In (DOI) will have a lower payout, but they\u2019re easier to convert.<\/p>\n<p>This means you can get more data for a smaller budget. If you\u2019re a newbie launching your first few campaigns, go with the email submits (SOI or DOI). If you have a larger budget or you\u2019re more advanced, PIN Submits can do really well.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"7-how-important-are-sweepstakes-in-todays-mobile-affiliate-market\"><\/span>7. How important are Sweepstakes in today&#8217;s mobile affiliate market?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re new to mobile marketing, Sweepstakes is a great place to start.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ve been around for a long time, and I don\u2019t see them going away anytime soon.<\/p>\n<p>I know a lot of affiliates who\u2019ve hit their first big campaigns doing Sweepstakes on mobile.<\/p>\n<p>The good thing is that &#8211; when you run these campaigns &#8211; your skills will transfer over to other verticals.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201c3 questions\u201d lander is used in a lot of niches&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Now it\u2019s time to run some offers!<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a lot of money to be made in 2017 with sweepstakes.
