in this case, 0.44\u20ac.<\/p>\n<p>By doing this, <em>you guarantee your position at the lowest possible cost.<\/em><\/p><div class=\"mobid-in-content-15-p\" style=\"margin-top: 26px;margin-bottom: 26px;\" id=\"mobid-290838926\"><div class=\"mobid-adlabel\">Advertisement<\/div><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/recommends\/semrush-v2\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"semrushtrialseo\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/semrushtrialseo.gif\" alt=\"\"  class=\"no-lazyload\" width=\"728\" height=\"90\"  style=\"display: inline-block;\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>This tool comes in handy if you\u2019re looking to save money.<\/p>\n<p>Even so, this isn\u2019t all it can do for you.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, using the Smart Bid, you can actually know your competition, how much they\u2019re bidding, what\u2019s the cost of the first position, what\u2019s the variation of the competition (if they\u2019re using day-parting for example).<\/p>\n<p>You can even <strong>damage your competitors if you feel like it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s only a matter of knowing how to use it properly.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why I\u2019m giving you some tips about it that&#8217;ll help you <em>rule over this ad network using SmartCPM<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from giving you the ability to know the next competitor, the SmartCPM also lets you see if someone overpassed you.<\/p>\n<p>See below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Exo-Smartcpm-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-46 size-full\" src=\"\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Exo-Smartcpm-1.jpg\" alt=\"Exo SmartCPM 1\" width=\"898\" height=\"256\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Exo-Smartcpm-1.jpg 898w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Exo-Smartcpm-1-250x71.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Exo-Smartcpm-1-768x219.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Exo-Smartcpm-1-700x200.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Exo-Smartcpm-1-120x34.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 898px) 100vw, 898px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can see I was paying an average of 0.53\u20ac on the first 4 spots.<\/p>\n<p>Then, I started paying 0.33\u20ac.<\/p>\n<p>You can tell me that this is good <em>because you have the traffic at a lower cost.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The problem is I lost traffic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Someone was stealing my traffic.<\/p>\n<p>I know that because my impressions, as well as my CTR, dropped.<\/p>\n<p>The CTR drop means that <em>the quality of my traffic went down.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I went from having the 2nd\u00a0impression to having the 3rd.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also possible to do some <strong>damage to a competitor\u2019s campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s say that you\u2019re aiming for the first position with a maximum bid of 6\u20ac, just like on this example:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Exo-Smartcpm-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-51\" title=\"Exo Smartcpm 2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Exo-Smartcpm-2.jpg\" alt=\"Exo Smartcpm 2\" width=\"157\" height=\"386\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Exo-Smartcpm-2.jpg 160w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Exo-Smartcpm-2-120x296.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 157px) 100vw, 157px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here you can see that I\u2019m paying an average of 4.4\u20ac, meaning that the next competitor has set a bid of 4\u20ac.<\/p>\n<p>If, on my campaign, I\u2019m paying too much because of him, we can play the same game:<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll create another campaign or even keep this one with a bid of 3.6.<\/p>\n<p>With this, I\u2019m forcing him to pay a value close to his bid, therefore increasing his costs.<\/p>\n<p>By doing this, I hope he\u2019ll leave the segment.<\/p>\n<p>This is how you play on ExoClick using the SmartCPM tool and becoming the advertising network master!<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also possible to know <strong>what you need to do in order to get the first position<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Even if I cannot \u201cafford\u201d it now, it\u2019ll be a reference for the future.<\/p>\n<p>You can put a really high bid (20\u20ac) with SmartBid and check how much you\u2019ll pay.<\/p>\n<p>Remember to not keep the campaign running, otherwise you\u2019ll risk losing a huge amount of\u00a0money if you ultimately can\u2019t monetize your traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s say that, if you pay 2\u20ac with this test, you\u2019ll have an idea of how much the first guy is paying.<\/p>\n<p>This can only work if you want to guarantee the first position, setting this competitive bid with a SmartBid.
