Let\u2019s Optimize Like Super Pros!<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>By looking at Mobidea data on my account I checked that the payout for this market segment was around 0.3\u20ac at that moment.<\/p>\n<p>How did I calculate this value?<\/p>\n<p>I took the value of revenue and divided it by the number of signups for the period.<\/p>\n<p>Why did I calculate this value?<\/p>\n<p>Because it helped me optimize by comparing it with the Cost per Conversion.<\/p>\n<p>Considering this value, <em>I\u2019ll start resetting our targeting strategy by looking at the data I gathered.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>What should you look for when optimizing?<\/p>\n<p>eCPA \u2013 the effective cost per conversion you get.<\/p>\n<p>Most importantly, you should check the highest eCPAs &#8211; double or more than double the payout value of your campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Go and search for the parameters which surpass the criteria.<\/p>\n<p>Before optimizing, you must understand that all of these components are connected.<\/p>\n<p>For example, we know that Samsung is correlated with the OS Android and also with the Chrome\/Android Legacy browser.<\/p>\n<p>This is something that happens to <strong>everything which has to do with media buy campaigns.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Indeed, they\u2019re all connected. However, if you started looking at other campaign parameters you\u2019d find something that might be affecting this result.<\/p>\n<p>Meaning what?<\/p>\n<p>That I won\u2019t blacklist this campaign, at least for now.<\/p>\n<p>Website #4 is a different game.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s got 0 conversions and I\u2019ve already spent almost 4 times the value of the payout.<\/p>\n<p>In this situation, I\u2019ll definitely blacklist it, <strong>ceasing to receive traffic from it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Website #2 is closer to profitability.<\/p>\n<p>It will probably become profitable with further optimization.<\/p>\n<p>During the website optimization process it\u2019s important to check a website\u2019s zones.<\/p>\n<p>However &#8211; if I cut those devices from my campaign &#8211; the OS Android will decrease its eCPA and may become profitable.<\/p>\n<p>The same thing happens <strong>with the iOS operating system.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We know that iOS runs on Apple devices which means iPhone is connected to it.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, by cutting iOS, you\u2019ll cut iPhone traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, there\u2019s a correlation between Nokia devices, which run Windows Phone OS, and are having good performances overall.<\/p>\n<p>Summing up:<\/p>\n<p>In this case, I\u2019ll cut the Samsung, Samsung Tablets, and Lenovo devices as well as the iOS operating system.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"step-6-browsers\"><\/span><strong>Step 6: Browsers<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/tabelas_6.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2198\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/tabelas_6.jpg\" alt=\"Exoclick table 6\" width=\"630\" height=\"186\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/tabelas_6.jpg 630w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/tabelas_6-250x74.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/tabelas_6-120x35.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Browser stats show the obvious correlation between Android devices \u2013 Android \u2013 Chrome\/Legacy and iPhone-iOS-Safari.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m having some performance issues with these parameters and that shows on the browsers.<\/p>\n<p>By analyzing more thoroughly, I see that Chrome has the most traffic (impressions) <strong>and subsequently the highest costs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, it also has an eCPA that\u2019s too high and is far from being profitable.<\/p>\n<p>Now you\u2019re probably asking yourself: why don\u2019t I cut Chrome right now like a boss?<\/p>\n<p>Well, even though its performance is really awful, <em>it might be optimizable via devices\/sites<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>You should also remember that it has most of our campaign\u2019s traffic \u2013 42296 impressions \u2013 and has a reasonably high number of conversions.<\/p>\n<p>This means I need to really make sure there\u2019s nothing else I can do to improve it before deciding to cut.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Opera mini is having a great performance after just one day.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why I\u2019ve gotta keep tabs on it so that I can create a separate campaign just for it later on and maximize it.<\/p>\n<p>For now, I can easily identify Safari and Android Legacy <strong>as two browsers that are also performing poorly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>iOS will be cut on the OS side so I don\u2019t have to worry about it here, but Android Legacy might be a problem.<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>Legacy has no conversions and has reasonably high costs \u2013 in this case, I\u2019m cutting Legacy to stop spending money where there\u2019s no performance.<\/p>\n<p>Again, following the connection Windows Phone-Internet Explorer I notice this browser is having some decent results.<\/p>\n<p>Summing up:<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll leave Chrome, even though it has more than double the eCPA (because of the reasons I\u2019ve alluded to above).<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll cut Android Legacy in order to reduce costs since <em>I don\u2019t have any conversions on it and have already spent 1.3\u20ac.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"step-7-bid-%e2%80%93-how-much-can-you-spend-to-get-that-sweet-spot\"><\/span><strong>Step <\/strong>7: Bid &#8211; How Much Can You Spend to Get That Sweet Spot?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This time, since I\u2019m gonna cut so many parameters from my campaign at the same time, I won\u2019t change the bid.<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>Because the changes I\u2019m implementing will decrease the total cost.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, I\u2019m already being profitable on some components such as Opera Mini.<\/p>\n<p>In order to decrease the bid \u2013 without affecting these good parameters \u2013 I need to create a separate campaign.<\/p>\n<p>However \u2013 since I only ran the campaign for 1 day and a half \u2013 I\u2019ll leave it as it is and <strong>won\u2019t perform too many changes at a time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The other aspects of the campaign were showcasing normal results <em>which means nothing needs my immediate attention.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Of course it\u2019s best that you always check components such as languages and categories.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"step-8-follow-up-%e2%80%93-check-results-get-your-cash\"><\/span><strong>Step <\/strong>8: Follow Up &#8211;
