It\u2019s their network.<\/p>\n<p>They can choose what they want to see there.<\/p>\n<p>But, in the end?<\/p>\n<p>Many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobidea.com\/academy\/ico-scams\/\">ICOs are scams<\/a> and a lot of people do lose money investing in scams so Facebook is just trying to do what they can to protect users.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t think that cryptocurrency is a scam.<\/p>\n<p>But there are people who try to use the hype and the greed around this to take advantage of others. How to Recognize an ICO Scam<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The problem that I have with ICOs is that &#8211; in general &#8211; they create this illusion that you\u2019re investing in some kind of equity or exposure to the success of that project or business.<\/p>\n<p>But actually the token is completely detached.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t get paid dividends, you don\u2019t get to own any equity in the company. It kind of is a little bit of a scam &#8211; more often than not &#8211; when you\u2019re talking about an ICO.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few out there that will offer you an actual ownership stake in the company that you\u2019re investing in, but very few.<\/p>\n<p>You have to be careful when you\u2019re using your cryptocurrency to invest.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"6-are-you-investing-in-icos\"><\/span>6. Are You Investing in ICOs?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>No. There\u2019s one that\u2019s trying to do an actual investment fund and they\u2019re tokenizing ownership in their fund as an ICO.<\/p>\n<p>That might be legitimate. They think the stock market is controlled.<\/p>\n<p>Everybody thinks that everything they don\u2019t control is controlled by someone else.<\/p>\n<p>But the true nature of it?<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an efficient market.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a market out there. There are markets all over the world.<\/p>\n<p>And the ability to actually manipulate and control the price of Bitcoin is only gonna get more and more difficult over time as more and more people invest in it throughout different areas of the world and in different industries.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s gonna become virtually impossible to move the price based on your own desires.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"11-which-industries-will-rock-the-crypto-craze\"><\/span>11. It gives you the ability to avoid worrying about chargebacks.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t have to worry about credit card statements showing that you spent money on your favorite fetish site or whatever it might be.<\/p>\n<p>I do think it&#8217;s gonna serve a role where the transactions might be a bit sensitive.<\/p>\n<p>For example, there are BDSM models in Canada that have had their banking accounts closed because the banks didn\u2019t want to do business with this industry. Now, they\u2019ve migrated over to Bitcoins.<\/p>\n<p>Anybody that wants more freedom with their money can find it using cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"12-can-bitcoin-become-a-stable-currency\"><\/span>12. Can Bitcoin Become a Stable Currency?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>No coin is stable. Not even the dollar.<\/p>\n<p>They all move a certain percentage against everything and the value.<\/p>\n<p>When you have a fiat currency, they\u2019re constantly printing them so the illusion of value of what it\u2019s worth changes because your purchasing power goes down every year.<\/p>\n<p>Saving your money in euros or dollars actually becomes risky because &#8211; every year &#8211; you get to buy less with the same amount.<\/p>\n<p>If you look at prices of things 10 years, 20 years, 30 years ago, you\u2019ll find that it was always cheaper back then. So there\u2019s a volatility to all currencies and to all money.<\/p>\n<p>Do I think there\u2019s gonna be a way to control and to stabilize cryptocurrency like a dollar or something like that?<\/p>\n<p>Not in the short term.<\/p>\n<p>I think that happens when you have more and more people actually using it, actually saving with it. The more value that people entrust into one network, the more stable it will become.<\/p>\n<p>But will it ever become perfectly stable?<\/p>\n<p>No, because nothing is.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"13-when-will-blockchain-become-mainstream\"><\/span>13. When Will Blockchain Become Mainstream?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>I think that what you\u2019re asking is what is the maximum saturation of people that &#8211; in the world &#8211; will eventually use cryptocurrency. The potential is very high.<\/p>\n<p>The amount of usage has increased, even though <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/900-20000-bitcoins-historic-2017-price-run-revisited\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the price has skyrocketed in the past year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s still very small.<\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s mostly just speculators.<\/p>\n<p>But when you start to see more and more?<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll start to see governments holding Bitcoin.
